This city exceeded our expectations. From food to friendly, Cleveland rates 10 + on the cities we love list. Every local treated us as if we were their friend. Many tried to talk us into moving. The exploration of a new city can sometimes leave you feeling slightly unsure of how you will be greeted upon arrival. Will you feel safe? Will you feel welcome? Cleveland will make you feel all of… Read More

I spent the night in this dress, sandwiched in an economy class seat in a pressurized capsule that transported me across the Atlantic. In France, in the early morning hours, Paul lugged my suitcase up the narrow wooden steps to our third floor apartment, and I pulled up a chair to my favorite window in all of Paris. Paul took this photo of Lady Liberty on the ferry ride back to Manhattan after an afternoon on Governor’s Island. Governor’s Island has become our go-to place for fun in the city.  The short ferry ride costs $3 a person, which guarantees incredible views of Manhattan and the Statue of Liberty.  Once there, we recommend renting a bicycle and cruising around the island.  Afterwards, grab a seat at Island Oyster to bask… Read More

The story behind this image is quite simple; I hijacked a photo shoot.  Michelle and I took a journey to California last summer. While in San Francisco, we signed up for a food tour of Chinatown.  We met our guide at the gates of this famous region and proceeded to eat in various restaurants throughout the neighborhood.  There are many beautifully crafted murals throughout the area.  I was lining up a picture… Read More

Our trip to Alaska began with a night in Seattle.  Southwest Airlines flew us from Philadelphia to Seattle with a stop in Las Vegas to change planes.  This broke the trip up nicely and gave us a chance to stretch our legs on what would have otherwise been a very long flight.  Our first evening in the city, we stayed at the Sheraton Seattle, which was in a location that allowed for… Read More
